Is league circket a solution for our recent world cup debacle?

If someone thinks everything is fine with the Indian circket scene , you are nuts. The world cup debacle should be an awakening call. What is wrong? How can we fix it?

Personally I think there is too much politics and not enough fair competition. The best player doesn't always get a place in the team. There is too much stress on each state being represented in the team. All this is due to the government running the circket boards and the selection process being based on the Ranji trophy which is state/region based.

The solution is to have league circket with private companies/individuals featuring teams in the league. There should be no restriction on who plays in which team . The best players from the league will represent the country. People will support their local league team which could have players from other states and so when selection occurs they won't care which state they come from. This will be something similar to the Football league which we have.

Most of the countries have this kind of leagues not only in circket but in other sports . Private firms are ready to invest in such a league but is the government ready to give up control ?
