Outdated politicians

Have you in recent past looked at the demographic of the members of the Parliament or the legislative assembly in your state? Do you find a variety of people from various walks of life ? Variety is not only the spice of life but a melting pot from which new ideas evolve.

In our political scene, all we see are politicians of the yester-years . We need the experienced politicians but where are the vibrant youth , successful businessmen, the well educated , high achievers etc . Why do these people not want to enter politics ? Are we creating an environment for these people to enter politics ?

Political parties have reservation for women candidates . How about seat allocation for the mavericks ? Politicians are the ones who have to lead us into the future and if we don't encourage people who are current, we will be left behind .
